The whole point of travelling is to experience a place, get out there -meet the people, see the culture, do the things and eat the local food. We're all about maximising value but not missing out.

 

To give you an idea:

• We love the vibe of hostels, but will get a private room where possible. 

• We're in our 30s, so we will go for a more comfortable hostel rather than the absolute cheapest (but not a fancy hotel!) 

• We'll definitely use overnight transport to maximise time and save on accommodation.   

• We mostly eat out when we travel because food is such a big part of the culture, but we try to stick to small local eateries and street food - it's the most authentic and better value.

• We LOVE a decent coffee (definitely our financial weak spot) 

• We'll have a few beers but won't blow the budget on alcohol

• We will do ALL OF THE THINGS. Because what's the point in travelling to sit in your accommodation the whole time?
